Who is the course for? Anyone who wants to gain an accredited qualification in teaching salsa dance. On completion, candidates will receive an Edexcel Level 1 BTEC certificate as well as a course certificate. Entry Requirements There are no formal entry requirements. Candidates will be assessed for suitability at the initial interview and registration. Course Structure The Level One BTEC Award is a 30 hour course divided into 3 units. Candidates will be assessed on each unit. |
Those candidates with existing experience can use it as 'approved prior learning' and will receive additional teacher training during the week of the course.
Assessment Theoretical work will involve some self study, question papers and projects. A portfolio of evidence will be produced and maintained to show knowledge of the subject area and competence in practice.
